Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are the most popular and existing future of technology. When you put on some hi-tech gadgets, you are just in a different world interacting with the world around you. This is not only limited to entertainment, but there are also more it offers.
Virtual reality gives us a clear picture of an artificial environment which is developed via a software solution, dominated by sight and sound. Virtual reality appears to the user in such a way that the user sees and believe is real. A good example of virtual reality is 3D images which are explored through the computer in terms of voice modulation and movement. It is also used for simulating a real-time environment in the arenas of educations and training. VR also play a key role in gaming scenarios.
Augmented Reality, on the other hand, has proved its worth in almost all industry segments as well as our daily lives. AR brings across the elements of the virtual world to the real world. Augmenting the sound, visual and feeling effect of thing around. Augmented Reality also acts as a bridge between the real and virtual arena.
Mixed reality creates an environment where the digital and the physical elements are merged in a way that facilitates interaction among the virtual and the real world. Mixed reality possesses the characteristic of both augmented and virtual reality but goes the extra mile by offering the best of them.
In the aircraft industry, mixed reality is used to train engineers involved in repairing the engine. When undergoing training, they are not required to extract the engine from the aircraft. In the construction industry, Mixed reality also helps supervisors especially the senior ones to communicate worker about the part of the equipment that is not functional and the works that are yet to be completed through the virtual signal. Workers can now view the technical diagram and come up with the required solution.
The truth is, Mixed reality has a lot to offer like effective cost processing power facilities and image/visual recognition competence. apart from a mobile device, gaming Camera-based smartphones, mixed reality dominated all industry domain. It has also changed the communication between human and computer and is also taking it to a new and higher level together.
Even though we have an idea where the AR and VR are heading to, the product companies seem sheepish when developing their plains. From Jabil’s survey, we understand that 51 per cent of this product companies are yet to develop an initial plan and out of this AR/VR investment, about 99 per cent of them said that their plans are flexible. To conquer the challenge involved in building out virtual and augmented reality technology while building up the market expectations, companies should consider partnering with experience vendors that can provide end to end product development with a wide engineering capacities. Presently, about 89 per cent of these products companies is already expecting vendors to help meet their requirements from plan development to full manufacturing capacities. With this, companies can now focus on their strength by delivering an out of this world experienced job.
